Justin is a partner of Sturt Capital Partners. Before joining Sturt Capital, Justin forged a successful career in investment banking specialising in structuring complex financial instruments and transactions and mergers & acquisitions. He applies his skills and considerable experience to ensure that Sturt Capital identifies attractive investment opportunities and optimises risk-adjusted returns on investments for our investors.
A successful career in global investment banking has given Justin a depth of knowledge and technical expertise that he uses when analysing, valuing and structuring complex financial assets and transactions and to identify attractive investment opportunities for our clients and investors.
Prior to joining Sturt Capital, Justin was Managing Director, Head of FICC Structuring at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Australia, where he was responsible for developing and executing a wide range of financial instruments and transactions including principal investments, hybrid capital instruments, cross-border M&A, complex financing transactions, structured derivatives and other fixed income transactions. Justin spent more than 12 years at Merrill Lynch and Bank of America Merrill Lynch and was involved in many landmark transactions for Australian companies. Prior to this role, Justin spent 4 years at Macquarie Bank in the Project & Structured Finance and Treasury & Commodities Divisions. Previously, Justin spent 4 years working as a commercial lawyer.
Justin attended Sydney University where he was awarded Bachelor degrees in both Economics and Laws as well as a Master’s degree in Laws. He also holds a Master of Commerce degree from the University of New South Wales.
